Mid-century edge. Laser precision.

Cocorico is named for one of the most legendary clubs of the Italian Riviera -- a venue that hosted Grace Jones' birthday and witnessed the beginnings of Italo House. The rug takes its design cues from the club's clean Modernist architecture: a lineal laser burn pattern in Cream and Mushroom, cut through with triangle shapes in Gray and Rust. Whimsical with a mid-century sensibility, it is a timeless statement piece that works in both contemporary and classically styled interiors. The laser burn technique is executed with precision by Art Hide's fifth-generation artisans, burning pattern directly into the hide surface for a finish that is both architectural and tactile.

Part of the Altro Mondo collection by Greg Natale for Art Hide, a range of hide floor and wall coverings inspired by the radical architecture of iconic Italian discotheques from the 1970s to the 1990s. From hosting Grace Jones' birthday to witnessing Daft Punk and Aphex Twin being booed offstage, Cocorico was the temple of Italo House in the 1990s.
