Art Hide has developed a proprietary rug underlay that is the perfect match for our premium cowhide rugs.
Made to size for each rug, the Art Hide rug pad comprises:
- 300gsm non-slip textured rubber base
- 400gsm felt cushioning
- Surface cauterization to create a scratchy top surface that grips beautifully to the suede backing of the Art Hide rug.

We recommend the use of rug pads for dyed rugs, in the unlikely event of colour transfer if the rug becomes wet and/or reacts to flooring finishes.
