AN OUT OF THIS WORLD RUG COLLECTION BY GREG NATALE FOR ART HIDE
Award-winning Australian interior designer, Greg Natale brings his signature Modernist-Maximalist aesthetic to a striking range of cowhide floor and wall designs for Art Hide. Altro Mondo, meaning “other world” in Italian, is inspired by the radical design ethos and innovative architecture of famous Italian discotheques from the 1970s through the 1990s.
Capturing the high-voltage spirit unique to these otherworldly spaces, Altro Mondo draws inspiration from their raw urban forms of Brutalist, Postmodernist, and Space-Age design styles.
BAIA
Featuring a Space-Age repeat zig-zag pattern with a raw jagged edge, the Baia rug exudes an air of retro-chic glamor. In natural hide tones of light Grey, light Tan and Ivory, Baia’s allure is enhanced with a Silver metallic finish splashed across its design.

The Marabu rug was inspired by Greg Natale’s love for Brutalism. Its blocky, geometric pattern reflects the brutalist architecture of the iconic Marabu Discoteca.

Marabu Warm features a striking combination of both saturated dyed tones and natural shades; Tan, Rich russet, Apricot, Caramel, Taupe and Ivory, accented with Bronze metallic.
COSMIC
Cosmic features a Space-Age wavy pattern with modernistic, undulating lines. Light to mid tone Browns and Creams colour the design, with Silver metallic linear sections punctuations; moving the eye from one end to the other.

With its playful, Pucci-esque palate, Paolina B. is inspired by Greg Natale’s love of Milanese-maximalism. True to its rebellious nightclub namesake, this rug pushes the boundaries of traditional rug shapes with its captivating and versatile circle-in-circle form.

Fresh and modern, the Divina rug was inspired by the famous wave-patterned marble floor from Villa Bussani in Milan. Its fluid two-toned design is simultaneously soft and striking in natural Caramel and inky Plum.

Tuxedo’s black-and-cream pairing is inspired by Carine Roitfeld's Paris apartment.. A softer, stylish take on classic black-and-white, the Tuxedo rug balances jet Black with natural Cream and Caramel hides with its Postmodernist pattern.

Art Hide's collaboration with Sasha Bikoff is a special first after 13 years in business. Founders Kura & Bree really wanted to work with someone who shared our passion for creating unique, statement-making pieces. Sasha's eye for color and pattern, and incredible design and art history knowledge, made her the perfect fit.

LOCATION
When it came to capturing the collection in photos and film, @sashabikoff had a clear vision that it had to be set in Australian bushland. The Woodstock, nature inspired collection chimed perfectly with the natural elements of cowhide and the Australian brand heritage of Art Hide.
