Art Hide customer Lyn McGough first contacted Art Hide in July 2020. She discovered Art Hide online and loved the extensive range of vibrant colours in the range.
Lyn's living room features a striking feature granite fireplace, along with blue chairs and unique artworks. She wanted her Art Hide rug to tie everything together and create a real wow factor in the space.
Lyn requested some free renders from Art Hide's Room Service program to test out how some rugs she liked might look in the space.
Initially she trialled the vibrant Largo teal and the Olio light grey and Olio charcoal from Art Hide's price point friendly Alta collection.
To see the rug colours in person, Lyn then ordered a sample Box of Feels. When she received this, she felt the teal tone wasn't quite right for the space. She asked Art Hide to render the Largo pattern in two other greeny/blues on the Art Hide catalogue (to see this just visit your country's Digital Showroom); light jade and dark jade.
Still not perfect, Lyn threw a curveball into the mix with Art Hide's terracotta colour in the Largo pattern! Pretty, but still not right!
Back to the drawing board! Art Hide provided Lyn with a series of new render options that applied all manner of designs from pattern rich neutrals, such as the Faceta, the stunning lasered Atomo rug the classic Espina herringbone cowhide rug design, and the geometric Selva rug.
But Lyn proved to be a true colour lover! So she asked for a few more recommendations from the Art Hide team, and that's when the trail started to heat up!
Firstly, we tried a custom variation of the popular Trellis rug. This style is frequently customised to use highlight of colour across the rug. While it looked fantastic, and picked up on some of the beautiful tones in the living room, it still wasn't 100% right.
Then the Nueva Raya caught Lyn's eye. She asked the Art Hide team to trial the green.
Then the Nueva Raya blue!
Lyn loved what she was seeing but wanted to further tweak a couple of the colours to really make it sing for her space. She ordered a Box of Feels and a colour loop to see what exact options she might have. Upon receiving, she asked us to replace certain tones with ones that had caught her eye.
Firstly, some dark jade was added instead of the cobalt
And lastly, the piece de resistance, with a final tweak to add some wasabi, here was the final overhead render. Art Hide uses these renders for production so that our makers know exactly what the client wants.
And all part of Art Hide's service is to show our clients physical layouts as we make their rug - here's one of Lyn's as we got close to finishing!
The final result? Well here it is!

I would like to say thank you for my amazing rug, I love it.
The whole experience with Art Hide was fabulous.
I received a few different sample boxes before I was comfortable with my choice.
But then instantly I was sure I had made the correct choice.
Being able to place my rug in the photo of the room was also reassuring.
I am thrilled with the result.
Your input helped me greatly.
