Renowned Australian designer Greg Natale has joined forces with Art Hide to debut ALTRO MONDO, a groundbreaking collection of cowhide rugs that draws inspiration from the avant-garde spirit of Italy's legendary discotheques of the 1970s through the 1990s.
Translating to "Other World" in Italian, ALTRO MONDO represents Natale’s first foray into decorative hide coverings, where his distinct design vision merges with Art Hide’s artisan craftsmanship. This collection presents a daring fusion of Brutalist, Postmodern, and Space-Age aesthetics, evoking the avant-garde force of Italian discotheques—once the epicentres of youth counterculture and now standing as otherworldly relics of a bygone era.
